In this time of divisiveness, there is a way to greatness for our beautiful and amazing country.

The framers of our constitution were men who had a kaleidoscope of divergent ideas, but they shared the ability to work together, compromise, and solve problems with ideas.

With the divergent viewpoints on abortion dividing our country, I say that the way out of this is through understanding and compromise. Abortion is not one thing any more than destroying a seed is the same thing as chopping down a fig tree. We must be willing to have civil discussions and listen to those who think differently.

If you are saying to yourself, “I am not willing to compromise,” then you are invoking the violence of the American Revolution and the Civil War, both which brought progress and crushed the oppressors, but they also brought terrible death and destruction.

If you are saying to yourself, “I will work with others, discuss, listen, compromise, and work to create an inclusive and thriving society,” then you are invoking your own greatness. Our greatness lies in our ability to work with each other.

In this video I discuss what has made us great, the value of discussion and dialog, and addressed the most controversial topic of today, abortion.
